Quan is a political theorist, award-winning filmmaker, and Associate Professor of Justice and Social Inquiry in the School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University. Abad has been an Assistant Professor of Communications in Nevada State University’s Department of Data, Media, and Design since the Fall of 2022. She runs EK Editorial and Coaching, a business specializing in ghostwriting, book coaching, and editorial services for authors.
